Digital Privacy Policies

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for accessing the Maspeth Federal Savings (also referred to as (“MFS,” “the Bank,” “we,” “our” or “us”) website. The site is owned and operated by Maspeth Federal Savings and Loan Association. MFS provides our customers with the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of our online banking customers' personal and financial information, as well as that of all visitors to our web site.
This Maspeth Federal Savings Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices regarding information collected from visitors to the MFS website or users of our online services including but not limited to Online Banking Services, Promotions, Financial Calculators, Estimates, Mortgage Pre-Approval Services, Career Opportunity Listings and Contact Services. The Privacy Policy describes what data is collected, how that information is used, and how the information may be shared.
AGREEMENT TO POLICY
By using the MFS website or interacting with an MFS advertisement, page and/or account on a third-party site, you consent to this Policy, including your consent to our use and disclosure of information about you in the manner described in this Policy.
By visiting or using any of our online services, responding to any electronic communications we may send you, or clicking on one of our ads, you agree to this Code.
PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED (DEFINITION)
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” shall mean individually identifiable information from or about an individual. We collect personal information when you access certain MFS offerings (such as the Online Banking Services, Financial Calculator, Mortgage Pre-Approval Services and/or Contact Services) and complete the required information request form(s) and/or otherwise provide such information to us. The information that you must supply on the form(s) may include, without limitation, depending on which MFS offerings you access:
- your full name;
- your mailing address;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- your Social Security Number
- your income or debt
- and or other identifiers
USE AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
MFS will never share, sell, rent, exchange, or barter your personal information to or with any third party for financial gain or marketing purposes. MFS may use your personal information to contact you regarding your use of the MFS offerings, MFS products and/or services and/or third-party products and/or services that we think may be of interest to you.
If you wish to stop receiving future communications from us, please follow the instructions at the end of such e-mail messages or see the “Opt-Out/Unsubscribe” section below.
MFS is not in the business of selling your information. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without notice to you including those set forth below:
• To our Affiliates and Subsidiaries: Like many companies, MFS may share your information, including your Personal Data, with its related entities for internal business purposes.
• If Required by Law or an Emergency Situation: MFS may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary in certain urgent circumstances.
• Advertisers: In addition to any other advertising practices described in this Privacy Policy, MFS may aggregate your Personal Data with Personal Data of others and disclose such information to advertisers and other third parties for marketing and promotional purposes. In these situations, MFS will not disclose to these entities any personally identifiable information.
• Consultants and Other Such Third Parties: Like many companies, MFS sometimes hires other companies to perform certain services in connection with MFS’s business. Examples include mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function. We may share information with service providers with whom we work, such as data processors and companies that help us market products and services to you.
We may also employ third parties and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf, including helping us operate the MFS Offerings and/or to administer related activities on our behalf. Examples include sending direct and electronic mail, removing duplicate information from User lists, analyzing data, and providing marketing analysis. The agents performing these limited functions on our behalf may have access to the website user’s personal information as needed to perform their functions for us, but we do not permit them to use personal information for other purposes.
We will also use your personal information for customer service, to provide you with information that you may request, to customize your experience with the site and/or to contact you, when necessary, in connection with transactions entered into by you through the MFS offerings. We may also use your personal information for internal business purposes, such as analyzing and managing our business. We may also combine the information we have gathered about you with information from other sources.
We also reserve the right to release current or past users’ information (including Sensitive Information) in the event that we believe that the user is using, or has used, the MFS offerings: (A) in violation of the Terms, this Privacy Policy or any other of our operating rules, policies, price schedules and other supplemental terms and conditions or documents that may be published by us from time to time; (B) to commit unlawful acts; (C) if such information is subpoenaed
NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
COOKIES
A Cookie is a piece of data stored on your hard drive containing non-personally identifiable information about you. We use Cookies to improve the quality of the MFS offerings, including for storing user preferences and tracking site usage.
Most internet browsers are initially set up to accept Cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all Cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being sent. To disable and reject certain Cookies, follow the instructions associated with your internet browser. Even in the case where a User rejects a Cookie, he or she may still use the MFS offerings; provided, however, that certain functions of the MFS offerings may be impaired or rendered inoperable if the use of Cookies is disabled. We reserve the right to retain Cookie data indefinitely.
BEHAVIORAL TRACKING
MFS and some of our Third-Party partners may use information about your activities on the site and/or Third-Party sites (such as the pages that you visit and the key words that you use to search for content) to help determine what advertisements or offers might be of interest to you. These advertisements may be on the site or on third party sites. The use of information in this manner is referred to as "Online Behavioral Advertising." We believe that online behavioral advertising helps to provide you with more relevant advertising based on the websites you visit. To the greatest extent permissible under applicable law, we are not responsible for the tracking practices of third parties in connection with the site.
Users can opt-out of certain Google®-related tracking technology, and customize the Google® Display Network ads they receive, by visiting the Google® Ads Settings at: https://myadcenter.google.com/home?hl=en. In addition, you may opt-out of online behavioral advertising by visiting thenai.org and following the instructions in the “opt out” section of the website. Please note that opting out of online behavioral advertising will not stop you from receiving advertisements. However, the advertisements that you see may not be as relevant to you.
CROSS DEVICE TRACKING
MFS tracks users’ use of the MFS offerings across various devices, including your personal computer and mobile device, in order to optimize and personalize your MFS Offerings experience. MFS may collect certain of your personal information across various devices. Please be advised that where you opt-out of having your use of the MFS Offerings tracked across devices, you may need to upload certain information multiple times and/or input your log-in information multiple times.
LOCATION INFORMATION
If you have enabled location services on your phone and agree to the collection of your location when prompted by the Services, we will collect location data when you use the Services even when the app is closed or not in use; for example, to provide our fraud detection services. If you do not want us to collect this information, you may decline the collection of your location when prompted or adjust the location services settings on your device.
AGGREGATE DATA
MFS may aggregate or anonymize information about users of its offerings (so that it does not identify you individually). Aggregate or group data is data that describes the demographics, usage, and other characteristics of users as a group, without disclosing personally identifiable information. Because any aggregate information collected does not personally identify you, we may use it for any purpose permitted by law.
THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
The site may contain links to Third-Party owned and/or operated websites including, without limitation, social media pages. MFS is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. We encourage you to learn about the privacy and security practices of third parties as these third-party websites have separate privacy and data collection practices. MFS has no responsibility or liability relating to them.
SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES
If you engage in any interaction with MFS, other users or any Third-Party by and through any social media pages, you should be aware that:
• the personal information that you submit by and through such social media pages can be read, collected and/or used by other users of these websites/services (depending on your privacy settings associated with your accounts with the applicable social media websites. We are not responsible for the personal information that you choose to submit via any social media websites.
• the social media websites operate independently from MFS, and we are not responsible for such social media websites’ interfaces or privacy or security practices. Your interactions with the social media pages are governed by the privacy policies of the applicable social media websites.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies and settings of the social media pages with which you interact to help you understand those social media websites’ respective privacy practices. If you have questions about the security and privacy settings of any social media pages that you use, please refer to the applicable social media website’s privacy notices or policies.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Maspeth's online services are not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children, or send them unsolicited promotions, without parental consent. We request that such individuals do not provide personal information through the services.

OPT-OUT/UNSUBSCRIBE
To opt-out of receiving e-mail and other forms of communication from us, you can:
(a) follow the instructions included in the applicable e-mail message or other communication; or
(b) email us at privacy@maspethfederal.com.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may continue to contact you for the purpose of communicating information relating to your use of MFS offerings, as well as to respond to any inquiry or request made by you. To opt-out of receiving MFS offerings-related and/or inquiry response-related messages from MFS, you must cease requesting and/or utilizing the MFS offerings and/or cease submitting inquiries to MFS, as applicable.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL INFORMATION INTERNATIONALLY
If you are visiting the site from a country other than the country in which our servers are located, your communications with us may result in the transfer of information across international boundaries.
By visiting the MFS website and/or otherwise communicating electronically with us, as applicable, you consent to such transfers. Even if your jurisdiction does not have the same privacy laws as the jurisdiction where our servers are located, we will treat your information as subject to the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
From time to time, we may make changes to this Policy to accommodate new technologies, platforms, industry practices, regulatory requirements or for other purposes. We encourage you to review this Notice periodically to ensure you understand how we collect, use, and share information through the websites. If we do make changes to this Notice, we will also update the "Approval/Effective Date" posted at the top of this Policy.
Any changes to this Policy will become effective when the revised Policy is posted on the websites. By continuing to use the websites following such changes, you are agreeing to accept the terms of the revised MFS Digital Privacy & Cookies Policy.
