DIRECT DEPOSIT

Direct Deposit is a dependable and secure way to have a check instantly deposited into your account. This can be done with your Payroll check (if applicable), Pension, SSI, Social Security or Federal salary checks. Another advantage with Direct Deposit is that you earn interest starting the first day your deposit is received.

Direct Deposit is available with Passbook Savings Accounts, Statement Savings Accounts, Money Market Accounts and Checking Accounts.

OVERDRAFT PROTECTION

Avoid costly return check fees, embarrassing delays and the negative effect a returned check has on your good standing payment history. Your checking account will be covered with up to $2,500 of Overdraft Protection. Use your good credit to qualify for this coverage. Ask us for your Overdraft Protection application today. There is a $10.00 set-up fee for this service. If this type of overdraft protection does not fit your particular needs ask us about our Statement Savings to Checking Account transfer program. With this convenient program if a check comes in for payment and there is not a sufficient balance available in your Checking Account the amount needed to cover the check will simply be debited from the transferred amount into your Checking Account to cover the check. The Statement Savings to Checking Account transfer service is provided for only a $5.00 fee and the fee is only charged when the overdraft transfer is actually used. Ask us for details.

SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES

There are several box sizes available and all you receive is a simple annual bill. Stop in or call for box size availability and rental charges. Quantities are limited.

COLLECTION OF FUNDS FROM OTHER INSTITUTIONS

If you're a Maspeth Federal Savings customer, or plan to be one, you can have your funds from another Institution collected and deposited into your account with us.

CHECK SERVICES

We offer Money Orders (up to $2,500), Tellers Checks ($250 or more), International Money Orders (up to $1,000), Travelers Checks and Gift Checks to Maspeth Federal Customers. Ask a Maspeth Federal Savings Customer Service Representative for details regarding fees and availability.

U.S. SAVINGS BONDS

Maspeth Federal Savings redeems Series EE Savings Bonds and Series I Savings Bonds.

PAYMENT OF UTILITY BILLS

National Grid Gas bill payments are accepted at our Maspeth, Rego Park, Ridgewood and Forest Hills Branches. Con Edison bills can also be paid at our Maspeth, Rego Park, Ridgewood, Forest Hills and Fresh Meadows branches.

BANK-BY-MAIL

If you are unable to come to the bank for any reason, we also provide the service of Bank-by-Mail. Most bank transactions can be done in this manner. Deposits and withdrawals are then logged in and your account is updated. Ask a Maspeth Federal Savings Customer Service Representative for details.

PASSBOOK LOANS

A passbook loan makes it possible for you to take a loan against your own savings account with us. And best of all, the repayment schedule is flexible to fit your needs.

AUTOMATED COIN EXCHANGE SERVICE

You can turn in your loose coins for cash with Maspeth Federal Savings Automated Coin Exchange Service (ACES). And best of all this service is free of charge! (Available at Maspeth, Ridgewood and Forest Hills branches)
